Class of 1961
Scott graduated from the University of Houston, with a degree in Communications Art (journalism/radio TV) and spent four years active duty with the U.S. Air Force. During and after these experiences he enjoyed a sports career as a participant, coach and contributor. As a participant he enjoyed a successful high school career as a basketball player at South Williamsport High School and as a fast pitch first baseman in the local City League. His softball career also included stints in Texas and Maine where he played on ASA State Championship teams in both states. As a coach he was able to provide the opportunity for hundreds of youngsters to learn and enjoy baseball and basketball at various levels since 1979. As a contributor he had the opportunity to inform and entertain readers and listeners via multiple media experiences and administrative leadership has provided guidance and organization to numerous baseball and basketball leagues.
Scott is a member of the Class of 1961 and a life long resident of South Williamsport. Currently he is the Executive Director of the Lycoming County United Way.
