Whenever a teacher or other support staff is absent, substitute will be used as normal. Some prior practices may need to change to ensure student cohort groups remain separate.
There is significant concern among all school districts however, that an adequate supply of substitutes will be available. To prepare for this possibility, building principals have prepared multi-tiered response plans for staff absences.
All substitute employees will have the same access to training resources for returning to school safely as regular employees. Notification of location and availability o resources will be provided to substitutes directly prior to the start of the school year.
