The South Williamsport Area School District is seeking applications for positions listed below.  Specific application requirements are listed for each position.  All mandated clearances are required before employment.

PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS

  • Health/Physical Education Teacher – Position available at the Jr/Sr High School for the 2024-2025 school year.   Applicants must possess an eagerness to assist with instructional support, work collaboratively with all professional staff, and participate in additional trainings as required.

SUPPORT POSITIONS

Interested applicants for support positions should submit a letter of interest and resume to jobs@swasd.org, or visit the SWASD District Office between 7AM and 2PM to apply in-person.

  • Paraprofessional – Paraprofessional position for 6 to 6.5 hours per day.  Applicants must possess an eagerness to assist with instructional support for students with special needs, work collaboratively with all professional staff, and participate in additional trainings as required.  Position follows the school day/school year calendar. Hourly rate is $15.74 per union contract.  Benefits not included.
  • Food Service Worker – Position currently available at Central Elementary for 6.5 hours per day.  Position follows the school day/school year calendar.  Hourly rate is $15.18 per union contract. Benefits not included.

  • Full Time Custodian – 2nd or 3rd Shift – Position performs essential and non-essential custodial services in and around school buildings.  Starting rate is $12.00/hour plus shift differential with health insurance benefits.

  • Lunchroom  Monitors at Central Elementary – 3 hours per day; school year position. Monitors will be responsible for assisting students and monitoring student behaviors while in the lunchroom.
  • Substitute Paraprofessionals.  Called on an as needed basis to cover employee absences.  Hours are typically 6.5 hours per day.  Applications accepted until adequate substitute roster is established.
  • Substitute Food Service Workers.  Called on an as needed basis to cover employee absences.  Hours are typically 3.5 hours per day during lunch periods.  Applications accepted until adequate substitute roster is established.

EVENT SECURITY STAFF POSITIONS
