SUPPORT POSITIONS

  • Substitute Food Service Workers.  Called on an as needed basis to cover employee absences.  Hours are typically 3.5 hours per day during lunch periods.  Applications accepted until adequate substitute roster is established.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTED POSITIONS

Contracted Instrumental Music Lesson Instructor – The South Williamsport Area School District is seeking a skilled Instrumental Music Instructor to teach lessons to 5th and 6th Grade students who play musical instruments at various skill levels.  Candidate should possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Proficiency in playing/instructing Woodwind/Brass/Percussion
  • Willingness to work with Band Director/Music Department to execute program goals
  • Have flexible schedule

Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required, and/or degree in music or related field is a plus, but not essential.  This contracted position follows the school year calendar with expected hours of 15 hours per week for the duration of the school year.

ATHLETIC POSITIONS

Accepting applications until January 23, 2026.

Head Boys’ Soccer Coach – Applicant should possess prior coaching experience at the high school varsity level. Excellent communication and time management skills are a must along with organizational skills for planning schedules and budgeting. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to build, lead and manage the program from the varsity (fall season) through junior high (spring season) level, lead a staff of coaches and student athletes, and manage all phases of the program.

CROSSING GUARDS

The Borough of South Williamsport is hiring two seasonal Crossing Guard employees; one full-time Crossing Guard, afternoon hours only, to work 5 hours a week, and one substitute Crossing Guard.  The individuals must be able to pass a PA Criminal History Check and PA Child Abuse Clearances.  Applications can be obtained online at Southwilliamsport.net, or at the Borough Office, 329 West Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, PA  17702 between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.
